About Us

Christ Assemblies was birthed in August 2014 when a group of pastors felt led by God to unite and establish a ministry centred wholly on Christ. Coming together in prayer and agreement, these leaders formed an organisation with a clear vision, structured leadership, and a shared conviction: Christ must be the centre of everything in ministry, in business, in family life and in personal conduct.

From its inception, the church was planted simultaneously in Derby, United Kingdom, and Kimberley, South Africa. What began as a step of obedience soon flourished beyond borders, expanding into Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Zambia and it continues to grow as the Lord adds to the fellowship.

The name Christ Assemblies reflects our deepest commitment: to mirror the teachings and character of Jesus Christ in every sphere of life and to build the Church that is in the mind and will of Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ Himself is the Chief Cornerstone, the Head, the Owner, and the centre of His Church.

OUR VISION

Our vision is rooted in Ephesians 4:11-16 which shapes our understanding of the Church’s purpose and maturity:
“And he gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and some teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
We believe in the active function of the five-fold ministry, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, working together to equip the saints, to edify (build up) the Body of Christ, and to bring believers into unity and maturity.

OUR CORE VALUES

Edification over Position

Ministry is not about titles or position, but about edifying and building up. Every leader and member serves for the strengthening and growth of others.

Unity of the Faith

We emphasize unity in love and unity of faith. We believe the Church must be joined together, functioning as one body under one Head Christ.

Spiritual Maturity

Our desire is that every believer grows into a “perfect” (mature) man coming into both knowledge and experiential knowledge (epignosis) of the Son of God. This maturity reflects the fullness and likeness of Christ.

Stability in Truth

We are committed to sound doctrine so that believers are not swayed by false teachings or cultural pressures, but remain firmly grounded in biblical truth.

Christlikeness

At the heart of our belief is transformation. We pursue the character of Christ in our lives in our families, workplaces, communities, and ministries so that the life of Christ is visibly expressed through us.
